Measures in place to create a safe environment within our class.

28th November 2020

The safety of parents/guardians and children attending classes remains paramount.  The protective measures set out below ensure that everyone attending our classes remains safe whilst receiving high quality education, enabling the Little Learners to learn through play, thrive, build friendships and enjoy the benefits that our classes have to offer.  Measures are based on official advice and guidance and are routinely reviewed.

Little Learners Education measures:

Class size- Children’s educational classes that are organised and set up to run Covid-safely are exempt from the rule of six however, class numbers will be reduced to ensure 2-meter distancing between adults during the classes.  Class numbers are dependent on the venue. Only one parent/carer/guardian to attend with the child (siblings welcome if arrangements cannot be made). Parents are fully responsible for their child/children in the class.

One way systemDirectional arrows, entry and exit signs are positioned around the class/venue environment. Only enter the classroom when invited to do. This ensures sufficient changeover time, cleaning of the class and prevents overcrowding.

Handwashing- Wash hands prior to entering and exiting the class/venue, with regular use of hand sanitiser. Handwashing facilities and sanitiser are available at the venue.

Physical distancing- Maintain safe, 2-meter physical distance between parents/guardians, children, teacher and staff members whilst in the class/venue. Markers will be placed on the floor to ensure safe distance between each parent and to support children in identifying where to sit/stand.

Face coverings– Face masks are to be worn in line with official Government guidance. Prior to the session the class teacher may remove coverings and wear a visor as stated in the guidance set out by the public health advice for educational early years sessions.

Equipment and Resource Cleaning –Enhanced and regular cleaning of frequently touched points will be carried out using standard products such as detergents and bleach. Props and resources will not be shared.  Equipment and resources will be cleaned before and after each session and stored hygienically.

Respiratory hygiene- a supply of tissues and a waste bin will be available within the classroom to support public health guidance referring to ‘catch it, bin it, kill it’.

Personal items- Please avoid bringing personal belongings into the class environment.  Parents/guardians and children are permitted to bring bottled water, however consumption of food or snacks will not be permitted in class.

Attendance- Safeguarding the wellbeing and safety of our Little Learners and their families is paramount.
Please stay at home and seek medical advice and follow up to date guidance in relation to COVID-19 if you are:
– experiencing one or more of the symptoms related to COVID-19 (no matter how mild);
– self-isolating due to a possible or confirmed case within your household;
– are being asked to isolate by NHS Test and Trace

Please refrain from attending further classes until a test result is confirmed.  Should you test positive please follow official guidance in relation to self-isolating and contact Little Learners Education immediately.

Whilst we are implementing considerable COVID-19 safety, hygiene, and social distancing measures, we cannot guarantee that adults or children will not come into contact with others.

We reserve the right to carry out temperature check

Additional tier 2 measures:
